Special Application Mezzanine
The greatest thing about our mezzanines? Flexibility. Oh, and fun.
Most of our mezzanines hold pallets. This one holds people — running, ducking, and chasing each other through the dark.
THE challenge
Our client was opening a laser tag arena, and the playing field needed to go up, not just out — multiple levels connected by ramps and bridges so players could move between them at full speed.
That's a different brief than a storage mezzanine. A pallet sits still; players don't. The structure had to stand up to constant movement and a lot of bodies in one place, stay safe in low light, and be ready in time for opening day.
THE outcome
We designed and built a free-standing, multi-level structure — ramps, bridges, and safety railing throughout — manufactured in Quebec and engineered to code.
Our installation team had it standing fast enough to keep the client on schedule to open. Built to take a beating from players who don't hold back.
